Sometime in 1992, I found that when I painted something from my heart, without worrying about what anyone thought about it, I felt better. From then on, artmaking became a form of therapy.
Because I choose the method to match the emotion rather than painting in one particular style, it’s been hard to categorize my work. Sometimes I veer more realistic, sometimes more abstract. So the closest description of my style is “Expressionism.” It’s primarily an expression of something inside, rather than a representation of something outside.
