I finished this last May, but this is the first chance I’ve had to post anything new! I’m attending two paint-outs in September, and I just finished another carousel horse painting, so I’ll be posting more work soon.

   Thank you Micki! A paint-out is a day-long painting session with a group of people, usually “en plein air,” or outside in the open air. I belong to the California Art Club, and occasionally they hold group paint-outs, where they pick a site for all of us to meet, set up our easels, and paint what we see. This piece was the result of one of those paint-outs in Chinatown.
